8P/Tuttle - 2007 August 18

Comet 8P/Tuttle on 28 November 2007 in an image by George Varros. He writes: "Here's a crude shot of 8/P Tuttle using a Celestron 8" f/5 reflector with a StellaCam II and focal reducer (perhaps around f/4.0). The conditions were less than workable due to high wind and some upper atmospheric moisture, dark of night and East Coast skunkiness and local code requiring "full cut-on" upward pointing lights. 86 images of 8.53 seconds each, dark subtracted (hastily) and stacked using Registax. What a wonderful pass Tuttle will make!Ê I hope the weather will participate."
